Hardy Reef

Hardy Reef is a section of The Great Barrier Reef, located off the northeastern coast of Australia. The reef is the world’s largest coral reef and the largest structure on Earth built by living organisms. It stretches for more than 1,400 miles (2,250 km) and is made up of 2,900 separate coral reefs, plus 900 islands. Although the reef has been growing for 500,000 years, this natural wonder is endangered by rising ocean temperatures caused by climate change.
